Analysis:
We have eight top tricks and a double finesse holding in diamonds. Unless West has both missing honours, we will make our contract. So we have a 75% chance of success.
We might need two entries to dummy for the finesses and we also need an entry to play our long clubs, but we only have two entries. So, we must plan to combine taking the clubs with one of our finesses.
We win the first trick with the ace and must use the opportunity to take the first diamond finesse. We play low to the ten, but West wins with the jack and continues with ♠J. There is little point in holding up at this point, so we win with the ace, play ♣K and another club to dummy. We now play out our winning clubs before taking a second diamond finesse.
As the diamond honours are split, we make our nine tricks.
