An invitational hand with four spades and six hearts, begins with a transfer to hearts and then forces for one round by rebidding 2♠.
Opener assumes you have five cards in the suit you transferred to, and four cards in the second suit. (She doesn't know yet that you have six hearts.) She proceeds as follows:
4+ spades, minimum points => 3♠
4+ spades, maximum points => 4♠
3+ hearts, minimum points => 3♥
3+ hearts, maximum points => 4♥
3 spades and 2 hearts, minimum points => 2NT
3 spades and 2 hearts, maximum points => 3NT
You now convert any NT bid to hearts at the lowest level.
